Known as Probeis since its 2011 restructuring, the Panamanian Professional Baseball League traces its roots to 1946. Panama has claimed 2 Caribbean Series titles: the 1950 Carta Vieja Yankees and the 2019 Toros de Herrera. The country's baseball tradition has produced Hall of Famers including Rod Carew, and its four current franchises represent regions across the isthmus. Since 2025, Panama's league champion competes in the Serie de las Américas.
