The Caribbean Series has been played almost every February since its founding in Havana, Cuba in 1949. Cuba dominated the early decades; the Dominican Republic leads with the most titles today. The tournament has been hosted in Cuba, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Panama, and the United States.
